Young People
Life can be very confusing for anyone, but can feel overwhelming in your teens. You are dealing with your own issues
- changes in your body, and how you feel about your body.
- friendships and other relationships
- sexuality and sexual orientation
- deciding what direction you want your life to head in
- academic pressures of school, college or university
- becoming independent from your family.
The list goes on. In addition to this, there may be other pressures and problems-
- bullying, including cyber-bullying
- substance misuse
- eating disorders
- family breakdown
- domestic abuse
These can lead you to feel very alone. You may feel anxious, angry, feel like you hate yourself, have panic attacks, feel very down and unmotivated, feel like harming yourself. It can help to talk to someone about your feelings.
